Mountain To Sound Outfitters Identity
Case Study
Company: Mountain To Sound Outfitters
Background: Mountain to Sound Outfitters is a smaller local business offering service and repair for recreational and outdoors sports equipment as well as snowboards, skis, kayaks, and everything in between. They also offer a ski rental service for those who don’t own the equipment but would like to use it.
Problem: Their current identity has no continuity and their collateral is non-existant. The website is also poorly done and could use a lot of work as well. This lack of professionalism is driving away a lot of potential customers.
Target Market: The primary audience consists of individuals interested in the outdoors and outdoor sports as well as the parents of those individuals. Because they only have one location, locals are primarily targeted. The age range varies between 18-45 year olds, both male and female.
Opportunity: This presents me with the opportunity to create and redesign their identity, supporting collateral, and website to something modern, refreshing, and representative of their brand.
Solution: I will focus on a clean and simple logo and identity to then carry over to the website. It will then be able to stand up to its competitors and become a better contender.
Competitors: Their competition consists of similar local outdoors sporting goods stores (both large and small scale) such as REI, Alpine Hut, Evo, Bob’s Bike & Board and Snowboard Connection.
